What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into a mission-driven nonprofit serving communities with compassion and care. Our organization was built on the belief that housing is a human right and that every person deserves a safe and dignified place to live.
Our vision is to build a future where everyone has access to quality housing regardless of income, age, or background. We are dedicated to developing and supporting affordable housing communities that foster inclusion, independence and opportunity. Through innovative housing solutions, senior living options and holistic support services, we aim to provide lasting relief and empowerment to those most affected by housing insecurity. Our Story
Rooted in Atlanta
Atlanta shaped us. We grew up in its neighborhoods, watching families build lives in communities throughout the city. We watched grandparents retire in homes they had owned for decades, watched parents stretch paychecks to keep up with rent and watched neighbors quietly disappear. Not because they wanted to leave but because they could no longer afford to stay. That is not a statistic to us. That is our lived experience.
Born From a Need
Bright Horizons Living was not born in a boardroom — it was born out of years of watching this city price out the very people who built it. As Atlanta natives, we saw the BeltLine open new trails while it closed the door on longtime residents. We saw new developments rise in neighborhoods where our families had planted roots, watched property taxes spike, rents surge, and the quiet, steady unraveling of communities that had held for generations. We’ve decided to do something about it.
Built by Us, For Us
Founded by a team of Morehouse, Spelman and Georgia State alumni, our organization brings together finance executives, a construction leader, a technology strategist, an operations architect and a governance attorney. Together we carry both the professional depth to build and the personal stakes to care. Our mission is direct: to provide affordable housing solutions that bring relief, stability and dignity to individuals and families in our project markets. We start with Atlanta, because Atlanta is home.
